What is eSIM?

eSIM is a subscriber module built into a smartphone, which provides identification of the subscriber and access of his terminal subscriber device (hereinafter referred to as the “Device”) to the Mobiuz cellular mobile communication network.

The ability to use eSIM is provided to individuals and legal entities, provided they have a device that supports eSIM technology.

How to use the service?

In order to use the service, a new individual subscriber must contact the company’s own office with a device that supports eSIM technology and an identification document to conclude an Agreement for the provision of mobile communication services.

Also, current Mobiuz subscribers can replace their existing standard SIM card with an eSIM at the Company’s own offices during a personal visit. To do this, you must have a device that supports eSIM technology on which the subscriber plans to use eSIM, and an identity document. When replaced with an eSIM, the standard (previous) SIM card stops working.

In order to use the service, legal entities (or individual entrepreneurs) must contact the Company’s own office with the appropriate package of documents necessary to conclude an agreement for the provision of mobile communication services:
  • Original application for connection (on standard Mobiuz letterhead, or on the organization’s letterhead;

  • Copy of the Certificate of Registration (License / Guvohnoma);

  • A copy of the Certificate of State Registration as a value added tax payer;

  • Original passport of the head of the company, or a proxy (a copy of the manager’s passport is required);

  • Power of attorney for an authorized representative.

    An authorized representative of the organization must have with him a device that supports eSIM technology on which the subscriber plans to use eSIM.

How much does it cost to connect to eSIM?

Connection cost (across the country): free.

The cost of replacing a SIM card with an eSIM, as well as replacing an eSIM with an eSIM, is 20,000 UZS.

In order to replace the SIM card with an eSIM, you will need to come to the Company’s office with an identification document.

The SIM card can be replaced only upon personal request from the subscriber with whom the Agreement for the provision of mobile communication services has been concluded.

Attention! The eSIM profile QR code is one-time use, for security purposes of the subscriber’s personal data, reuse is not possible.

If the subscriber is a legal entity, the SIM card is replaced on the basis of an official letter. If the subscriber is represented by his legal representative, the SIM card is replaced on the basis of a power of attorney containing a description of certain rights and actions granted by the principal in the manner prescribed by the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In such cases, the attorney, along with providing the original power of attorney, presents his passport.

The cost of the “Number restoration” service on eSIM - 21 000 UZS

In order to restore the number on the eSIM, you will need to come to the Company’s office with an identification document.

The number is restored only upon personal request from the subscriber with whom the Agreement for the provision of mobile communication services has been conclude

Note:

The “Number Restoration” service is implemented by concluding a new Agreement with the subscriber.

The subscriber has no right to transfer the right to use this service to another person.

The “Number renewal” service is available only to the subscriber for whom the subscriber number was registered до before the last termination of the contract. Restoration of the number is carried out only to the person who owned the subscriber number before the termination of the subscription agreement. The number can be restored on the basis of a notarized power of attorney issued by the person to his attorney, which must indicate the restored subscriber number and the name of the service.

Cost of the “Number re-registration” service witheSIM :

1. In case of a subscriber’s request to Re-register a number to a new owner, provided that the number was previously connected to an eSIM and the subscriber will use the device on which the profile was previously downloaded, the cost of the “Number Re-registration” service will be 21,000 UZS;

2. In case of a subscriber’s request to Re-register a number to a new owner and if the subscriber wishes to download an eSIM profile to another device, it is necessary to perform a “SIM Replacement” with a new one (since the profile is one-time use and will not be valid (in case of re-registration from eSIM to eSIM ), a new eSIM profile is loaded).


Note:

Number re-registration is carried out in the presence of an existing and a new subscriber (or a representative by proxy from an individual of an existing subscriber). Subscribers must have original passports with them.

Applications for re-registration of a number are considered by the Company within 10 calendar days from the date of their submission.

What is еSIM?

An eSIM is also a SIM card, but built into a smartphone and at the same time does everything the same as a regular one - provides mobile communications and the Internet.

What is an eSIM profile?

An eSIM profile is the tariff settings for a number, downloaded via a QR code.

Can one QR code work on multiple devices?

The QR code is a one-time unique eSIM profile and cannot be reused. This restriction is for the security of the subscriber’s personal data and does not allow third parties to reuse it for fraudulent purposes.

How many numbers can be connected to an eSIM?

You can connect up to 5 numbers (profiles) to an eSIM per device. The number of profiles on the eSIM depends on the device model (check the specifications or check the manufacturer’s official website).

What is the difference from a regular SIM card?

The eSIM cannot be removed, broken or lost as it is built into the smartphone. You can install up to 5 numbers (profiles) on one eSIM. At any time, through the settings in your smartphone, you can choose which of the 5 numbers will be active.

Do I need to register an IMEI code when connecting an eSIM?

Is it possible to install an eSIM on a smartwatch?

As of today, connecting eSIM numbers to smart watches is not available in Mobiuz offices.

At Mobiuz offices, you can connect numbers to eSIM only on smartphones with officially declared support from the manufacturer of eSIM technology (to find out about the support of your eSIM device, check the device characteristics or visit the manufacturer’s official website).

How to connect eSIM?

To connect eSIM, you need to contact the Mobiuz office with an identification document. Sel ect a number, tariff and make payment. The operator, by scanning the QR code, will download the number (profile) with tariff settings to your device. After this, the eSIM will be connected to your smartphone.

Is it possible to connect eSIM remotely?

At this stage, test mode is underway, and all work on connecting eSIM is taking place in MOBIUZ’s own offices. This is the first stage. Next, we will definitely consider the possibility of providing subscribers with a remote eSIM connection.

Is it possible to register an eSIM connection for a legal entity?

In Mobiuz's own offices, it is possible to connect numbers to eSIM for both individuals and legal entities.

What tariffs fr om Mobiuz can be connected to eSIM?

It is possible to connect to all current tariff plans.

Can I use numbers on both an eSIM and a SIM card simultaneously?

Yes. You can choose which SIM card to use for calls, messages, and internet usage.

On iPhone, you can use two SIM cards simultaneously, with two active tariffs. The primary one is on the physical SIM card, and the secondary one is on the eSIM.

On Samsung, you can also use two SIM cards simultaneously, with two active tariffs. The primary one is on the physical SIM card (if the SIM card tray has two SIM cards, you need to sel ect the active SIM card; the second one will be inactive), and the secondary one is on the eSIM.

Does eSIM work in roaming?

Is it possible to replace a SIM card with an eSIM and vice versa?

Can I use the number (profile) on eSIM on different devices?

No, the e-SIM profile can only be downloaded once on one device. If you need to use the eSIM number (profile) on another device, you must delete the profile from the old device and then contact the Mobiuz office with a valid identification document to connect the number (profile) to the eSIM on the new device.

What should I do if I accidentally delete my eSIM profile?

If you accidentally delete the eSIM profile on your device, you need to contact the Mobiuz office with a valid identification document. They will provide you with a new QR code containing the number. Important! The QR code can only be used once and cannot be reused for security reasons. The cost of replacing eSIM is 20,000 sum.

What happens to my eSIM if I give my phone to someone else?

If you sell or give your smartphone to someone else, you must delete the eSIM profile. Otherwise, you will transfer your smartphone with your mobile number on the eSIM.

How can I block eSIM if my phone is lost? What if I don't plan to use the connection for a long time?

If you lose your smartphone with an eSIM number, call (+998) 97 130 09 09 or 0890, or visit the Mobiuz office with a valid identification document.

If you want to temporarily disable eSIM, you can do so in your device settings.
